What's new in version 15.78.3
New features
- Users can now assign a service case directly from the device page in TeamViewer Remote.
- To support toolbar customization, the look and feel now adapts to the operating system’s design. The main actions (such as Actions, View, etc.) have been moved to the menu bar, allowing use of the search functionality in the Help menu.
- It is now possible to customize the in‑session toolbar using the operating system’s configuration mechanism. Right‑clicking the toolbar provides access to the Customize Toolbar option.
- The view for creating Conditional Access rules has been streamlined and is now available as a full‑page view. Company‑based Conditional Access rules (now called internal rules) can be created on a single page instead of through multiple steps.
- Feature‑level permissions in Conditional Access have been expanded to include:
- Chat
- Manage virtual monitors
- Port forwarding
- Session Insights logging
- Multitenancy with Conditional Access is now available, enabling organizations to manage and securely connect data sources across multiple companies within a single framework. Organizations with access to both Conditional Access and Multitenancy can control data sources across multiple entities and create Conditional Access rules for external partners or subsidiary companies.
- In‑app notifications are now displayed in TeamViewer Remote when a service case is created or assigned, and when an end user comes online with an active service case. This enables faster and more responsive handling of service requests.
Improvements
- Users can now connect to a session using Windows Authentication directly from the device page in TeamViewer Remote.
- Users can now close a session directly from the device page in TeamViewer Remote.
- The UI toggle in the Classic client is now visible to Tensor‑licensed admins to support early exploration and onboarding of the TeamViewer Remote interface.
- Automatically created custom modules and rollout setup configurations are now filtered out from the client, reducing UI clutter and preventing potential performance impact.
- The device management page in Settings has been enhanced to provide a clearer overview of device permissions. For company‑managed devices, internal members are now grouped as Company, while external users are listed separately with their respective permissions.
- The way the client receives updates about changes to devices and device groups has been improved.
Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug where the classic settings opened when using the TeamViewer > Settings menu item or keyboard shortcut in TeamViewer Remote.
- Fixed a bug that could prevent Device Dock from opening.
- Fixed a bug that affected bulk manager removal and device or device group sharing.

User of TV since version 5. Supporting clients and family. Not for the casual user, or someone looking to help their long distance parents install new software. This is serious software, and for what "I" use it for, worth the cost. Technically very reliable, solid. Not keen on the 'new' UI, prefer the classic, but that's probably just due to my having used the classic UI for so long. The differentiator for me is ability of UNATTENDED access, and nearly zero configuration. No port forwarding, network fiddling. Can even install unattended. Until you have gone through the experience of trying to get a novice to install remote access on their end, by phone or even Facetime, you don't realize the value of paying for unattended access and install. Tired of the 'but its not free' complaints, those who feel they are entitled to free use of everything. When I divide the yearly cost by the number of people I connect with (unlimited), the time I'm online with them, MY time SAVED by not having to walk them through tasks, it is invaluable. If you want 'free' and don't mind network configuration, there are other options.

Successfully buried in their website remains their free, non-commercial use of TeamViewer. @Graphic-Mac has posted the free version page link twice below. "Remotely assist friends and family with IT problems and access your personal devices from anywhere." Every other use of the app requires a yearly subscription, the cost of which depends upon the user's needs. In every case, there's a 30-day trial available. - -> As usual, I don't recommend casually installing TeamViewer. It bombards macOS systems with a wide variety of bits and pieces, making it incredibly difficult to fully uninstall, as if macOS was Windows. No thanks. 😛

In my opinion, calling this application "absolutely free" when it costs at least $300 annually is nothing but lousy bull****.
